A Brief Overview

The Appraisal Specialist assists with the administration of the Bank's appraisal program for residential and commercial loans. Ensures the Bank is compliant with all appraisal regulations and internal policies, and utilizes knowledge of appraisals and real estate markets to provide a consistent, thorough, and compliant review function for appraisals received by Bank. Provides additional support to lending and credit staff by addressing real estate and appraisal-related inquiries. Demonstrates foundational knowledge of appraisal law and bank policy, and is a reliable resource for bank personnel on valuation issues.

The Appraisal Specialist may assist other appraisal staff with administrative functions to support the bank's appraisal program as needed. Performs internal evaluations and appraisal reviews on all property types and reaches logical and correct conclusions on those reports without additional oversight, and can speak knowledgeably with appraisers and lending staff about specific appraisal issues.
